JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network has a great opportunity for a Director of Advertising Sales!!! In this position, the Director of Advertising Sales will be responsible for West Coast sales for BTN which includes managing current clients to ensure continued growth, developing new business, keeping up on marketplace and key industry trends, and evangelizing the Big Ten Network and Conference.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve advertising revenue targets on linear and digital.
Identify and prioritize target clients for both corporate partnerships and media.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through a clear understanding of client’s business objectives and the ability to deliver.
Work closely with FOX sales counterparts to develop holistic college sports platforms across Fox Sports and be the champion for Big Ten.
Work and execute as sole BTN representative on the west coast.
Communicate and work well with teammates to collectively drive business results.
Willingness to travel to the west coast and attend collegiate events as needed.
Support sales and outreach efforts for the broader FOX portfolio of brands/content (Tubi, Entertainment, News, Business)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

5-7+ years of experience in media sales, ideally sports.
Knowledge of the collegiate media landscape.
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver impactful presentations and proposals.
Proven track record at closing new business and achieving revenue goals.
Strong relationships on the West Coast with key senior-level clients.
Experience selling non-traditional (rights, events) preferred
Willingness to travel to West Coast clients and prospects.
Ability to work occasional weeknight and weekend attendance of designated events

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $161,500.00-220,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
