SUMMARY
The Creative Services Trainee will gain extensive hands-on experience covering various duties in preparation for full-time employment at a broadcast TV station. The Trainee will be immersed in creative development and multimedia production, supporting FOX 5’s news, lifestyle, entertainment, sports programming and associated digital channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide hands-on assistance with Creative Services production, including lighting, grip, electric, camera, audio, scripts, and teleprompter operation.
Actively learn to curate, pitch, write, and produce content ideas, ensuring relevance and alignment with our station's brands, shows, digital products, and associated audiences.
Create multimedia elements, including video edits and spots for broadcast, digital media, or internal use.
Network and build rapport within the organization to cultivate collaborative relationships.
Display initiative by pitching and testing new ideas to bring a fresh perspective to the team.
Extend reach and engagement through savvy social media and digital marketing tactics.
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Passionate, proactive self-starter with an eagerness to thrive in the media industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate and quickly develop relationships.
They have demonstrated creativity and an innovative approach to content creation.
Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
Fundamental computer proficiency.
Preferable experience in social media content and digital marketing strategies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A recent college graduate (within one year or less) holding a degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Film & Video, Design, or a related field.
