JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News is looking for a talented and versatile Field Producer to work in the Los Angeles Bureau. The Field Producer will collaborate with reporters and network staff to arrange interviews, gather editorial content, and produce live shots and packages. This role covers a wide array of journalistic responsibilities from breaking news to scheduled events. The ideal candidate is creative, well-organized, and has excellent editorial skills.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce reporter live shots and packages on location and in the LA Bureau
Domestic and international travel for breaking news coverage, often at the last minute for extended periods
Pitch and develop original story ideas
Handle newsgathering logistics like booking travel and assigning field crews
Coordinate all aspects of production including booking, writing, ordering graphics, and producing taped segments and live shots
Demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively with correspondents and photographers in the field

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience as a reporter, writer, producer, or editor at a news organization
Extensive field production experience
Strong writing and interpersonal communication
Significant experience in an edit room environment
Prior production experience in breaking news and feature reporting
Ability to shoot video and operate LiveU
Willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends with short notice
Proficiency in Spanish language preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $84,500.00-110,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
